Indianola Records is excited to announce the addition of Words Like Daggers to its active roster. The rock/hardcore 5 piece from Des Moines Iowa and Omaha Nebraska recently wrapped recording of their Indianola debut “Literature” at Echelon Studios with Joseph McQueen (As I Lay Dying, A Tragedy in Progress, This Day Will Tell, Scream Out Loud). The record is slated for a January 31st 2012 release. A long time ago Indianola Records released the first Casey Jones full length “The Few The Proud The Crucial” and beginning in January the band is closing out their career with one final tour. Boys No Good will be joining Casey Jones, Death Before Dishonor, Hundredth and No Bragging Rights for the 24 date affair. Tour dates are to the left, do not miss out on this great package. BNG is also doing a couple dates in the southeast with Bane and Defeater in early November, if your in the area…you know the drill.
Formed in 2008, HeartCakeParty play catchy and aggressive post melodic hardcore. Having been around a couple of years now HCP is no stranger to the road, having previously toured with The Chariot, Cancer Bats, Greeley Estates, Inhale Exhale, The Color Morale, Memphis May Fire on the “Tours and Rumors of Tours” tour along with several southeast DIY tours with bands such as This Day Will Tell and I am Terrified. HCP also know their way around the studio, having recorded “Fields Without Fences,” a 7-song EP now available on iTunes, as well as the 3 song EP “Contraband”, with producers Josh Scogin of The Chariot, and Jeremy Griffith at Glow in the Dark Studios. Griffith has previously worked with such acts as Underoath and Norma Jean. The Band was recently featured on the MTV true life show “Thumbs” as well as an article in Alternative Press #207. Well, it seemed to take forever, but Oh, Manhattan’s debut full length finally made it out, and yes, the rumors are true, Hance Alligood has replaced Tyler Carter as the vocalist of Woe, is Me. Those who aren’t familiar with Oh, Manhattan but are checking this out because of Hance will not be disappointed. Indianola is very proud of these guys and their vision of modern post-hardcore. A Tragedy in Progress (the original line up of Across Five Aprils) will be releasing a full length album with Indianola Records in Spring 2012. The band, who earlier in the year released the EP “Going Down With the Ship” will be returning to Echelon Studios with Joseph McQueen (As I Lay Dying) in December to track the record. When asked about what to expect from the new record guitarist Jason Fields commented, “Going Down With the Ship was a record we made more or less for fun. We weren’t sure what the response to it would be, we just wanted to write some songs and go in the studio and lay them down. The new record I think will be deeper, both lyrically and musically. We want to push ourselves, out of our comfort zones, to make a record that is more progressive and representative of who we are, not who we were. While Going Down With the Ship was a bridge between the old and the new, we want the new record to stand on it’s on and still maintain the elements our fans appreciate.”

Boys No Good has just released another new song from their forthcoming full length record Never Felt Better. The song, entitled “Jeremy Drinks Bleach” can be found at the band’s Facebook page. Never Felt Better hits stores and online next Tuesday! Along with their upcoming tours with No Bragging Rights and Take it Back, Boys No Good will be embarking on a late August into September tour with Knuckle Up! and Kills and Thrills. We are happy to announce the signing of Pensacola Florida’s Scream Out Loud! Pensacola has always been good to us Georgia boys and we are pleased to find another talented band from our home away from home. Michael from This Day Will Tell tell kept telling us about this band and when we heard some studio tracks we loved it. We are looking forward to gradually letting you guys hear the album over the next several months leading up to their release. The record, entitled “Live it Up” is slated for a late fall release, get your first peak of the album here. Additionally, expect a video for that song in the not too distant future and of interest, frontman Joseph Kirkland of Scream Out Loud is the brother of This Day Will Tell’s singer/guitarist Jacob Kirkland.
