Virginia Beach’s Provoke, Destroy, band has previously been featured in the AP&R section of Alternative Press #292 (October 2012), is pleased to announced that they have signed with Indianola Records. Indianola Records, who has had recent success finding acts from Virginia Beach with Honour Crest, we release the band’s forthcoming full length, entitled Vulture, this spring. Guitarist Nathan O’Brien spoke on the signing, “Signing to Indianola Records has been the best move for us so far. With their support we can share our music with more people and show the industry that we have what it takes.”
Vulture will feature nine Andrew Baylis (Honour Crest, Apparitions, Camisado) produced tracks that drummer Tyler Melton described as, “A breath of fresh air. We have finally found the real Provoke sound and I am excited to show everybody exactly what that is. All I can say is be ready for the best Provoke, Destroy you have heard yet.” Bassist Michael Mann went on to add, “I think this album is going to surprise a lot of people. With our last EP we were just recording songs that had been written for our live set, rather than being written for recording. This album is a lot more melodic and guitar oriented than our previous releases and I think this album will show that we can be more than just a typical “breakdown” band.”
Provoke, Destroy was formed in early 2011 and played their first show in June of that year in Virginia Beach, VA. The band recorded their debut 5 song EP Rosewell, with Andrew Baylis and released it on June 12, 2012. The band spent the next year touring and playing shows to promote Rosewell. In late 2013/early 2014 they went into the studio to record their debut full length album. The album is set to drop on Indianola Records sometime in spring 2014.
Alternative Press has just debuted the exclusive stream of Honour Crest’s music video “Horcrux”. Head over to Alternative Press and check it out now! “Metrics” hits stores and online September 25th.
Formed in the Virginia Beach and Norfolk areas during 2007, Honour Crest seamlessly blends fast post-hardcore and electronica. Zach Fitzpatrick, Jimmy Dillon, and Cory Beaver perfectly compliment Luke Borza’s aggressive vocals on guitar, bass, and drums respectively. Rounding out the five-piece and adding an extra dimension is Chad Orange’s electronic programming, fusing perfectly with the band’s guitar work and vocals. Metrics will be Honour Crest’s third release and the follow up to their 2010 self-titled EP. The brand new album was recorded by Andrew Baylis and mastered by Taylor Larson. It showcases the band’s ever flowing progression throughout each of their three releases

Indianola Records is excited to announce the addition of Raleigh North Carolina’s Wealth in Water. The post hardcore band will be releasing their debut full length tracked by Drew Fulk at Think Sound later this year. The band currently has a live video available from the album here and another song here.
If melodic, driving, music were the liquid constant in an ever-changing underground scene, then North Carolina is the well from which it is drawn. Always on the forefront of innovation in melodic music, the state has spawned band after band who have become the inspiration and influence to the generation that followed. Once again, North Carolina has gifted us with something special. Their name is Wealth in Water. In a time where musical progression seems to be spinning its wheels and creativity and inspiration are lost to greed and industry, Wealth in Water is the breath of fresh air that music has been waiting for. In a very short time, Wealth In Water have found the element that takes most musicians many years to achieve: the understanding and importance of dynamics. Using their guitars in an almost atmospheric manner at times, they’ve crafted beautiful melodies supported by a driving rhythm section, and traverse the spectrum between heavy and ambience with the poise of a band well beyond their years.
